Hi everyone! I’m a new bee. Just got engaged and we planned to set the date in 2014 to finish our degrees. I’m hoping you all can help me. I fell in love with a reception venue and the curtains as well as the fabric above the chandeliers is navy blue with gold stars. So I was thinking, since my fiance and I are thinking of a subtle disney themed wedding, that a “wish upon a star” theme would be perfect (he proposed at disney :)) but can I put my bridesmaids in navy dresses in July? What do you think? I was thinking of going for a celestial color them (navy blue, gold and silver) Please tell me your thoughts. Thanks.

we’re doing navy as one of our colours (and mostly likely getting married on a disney cruise, so it kind of fits your theme!) I don’t see a problem with it 🙂

Congratulations to you all!!!!! What a great month to get married in if I do say so myself!! We had a Christmas Eve engagement and also booked for July 2014.
I’m also thinking navy blue (mainly for the girls’ dresses, guys’ ties and vests, and chair covers), peach (for girls’ flowers and centrepieces, because I don’t want blue flowers), and ivory/cream (also for linens and my flowers). Everyone keeps saying navy blue is too dark for the summer, but I really like it!
What do you think of the colour combo? Thanks!!!

I don’t see why you couldn’t put your bridesmaids in navy. I think if anything I would not do long dresses, maybe a nice knee length dress to keep it in season would be fine.
Go with your heart, this is your day!

I love this idea! Go with the navy! It’s your wedding, you can do whatever you want
