So, just curious, bees…
My wedding is in 8.5 months, and I am still on the look for my dress. Was trying to get the reception and ceremony booked so I could focus on funner things 🙂 But now that those things have been taken care of, I want to start full-on dress shopping. However, I am concerned because I would like to be more in shape for the wedding and lose a few pounds. If I get a dress in the next month or so, and I lose weight after that, how much of a problem will that be? I’m not sure how much alterations will do to size the dress properly. Just need some advice 🙂

I’m not really too sure, but I do know that I bought my dress in January and they’re not altering it until late June to give me time to trim and tone…but my dress is a size 10 (it was a sample sale) and she told me that if I had ordered one, I would be a size 6. So they can already take it in that much!

I always heard that it is how good the seamstress is. I already have my dress, but I haven’t had it altered yet. I’ve heard shops say that they can take a dress that’s a size 18 and make a size 4 (or something like that). If just a size or two, I think a good seamstress can make it happen.
