I had this same issue. So I solved it by not including the Mr & Mrs. part. So, it looked like: John Doe and Jane Smith-Doe

I suppose you could do: Mr. John Doe and Mrs. Jane Smith-Doe?

I didn’t go formal with address my STD’s or my invitations – I just wrote Jane Doe and John Smith or Jake & Suzie Smith – when there was a kid under 18 to be added I wrote Jake & Suzie Smith with Danny Smith If they were over 18 I gave them their own invite and gave them the option to bring a guest (Debbie Smith and Guest) – not sure if it is ‘correct’ but I figured it is my wedding and I like it.

We didn’t put Mr. and Mrs. on our Save-The-Date Cards.
