I’d wait about another week and then pee on another stick.

Sounds like you could be experiencing some pregnancy symptoms! Do you know when you tend to ovulate and if you had unprotected sex around that time?

Best thing you can do would be to take a pregnancy test in a couple days when your normal period would start.

I dunno, you sound a lot like me before just about every period.

I cramp a little bit the entire week beforehand, my boobs get insanely sore, and I most definitely get bowel movement issues.

I’m guessing you’re not preggo, but it may just be too early for the HPT to pick it up. I second giving it another week.

@MrsBoomBoom:  LOL if you wanna test every day, nobody is stopping you. πŸ˜›

I just think that it could end up being a TAD expensive, haha.

If you have a regular 14 day luteal phase, and your period is like clockwork, your 8/9 dpo at best.  That’s way too early to get a definitive answer on a test.  But I’d say it’s possible if you were having unprotected sex around ovulation πŸ™‚

I know how nerve-wracking this time can be when something like this happens. The only option I can see for you is to just sit tight and relax. I know that is much easier said than done. You said you are expecting your period in 5 days so I say just wait and see what happens in the next 5 days. If you get your period you have your answer and if you don’t then you may be able to test and get a different reading.

ETA: I would say that you can also buy the cheapter tests.

@MrsBoomBoom:

the dollar store ones actually are as sensitive as most name brands. I’ve gotten accurate results from them πŸ™‚

@MrsBoomBoom:  I wouldn’t know, but it seems like other bees haven’t had any problems with them. πŸ˜‰

I’ve heard that First Response generally picks up lower levels of hcg sooner, though.
