@MrsCarnival:  It was awful but I’m happy to report, temporary.

@MrsCarnival:  I am on the pill, and got pregnant on the pill. I stopped taking it when I found out of course, but after the MC I went back on it (even though I’m sure it contributed to why I had the MC to begin with). That may have had something to do with getting back to normal faster. It was about 4-6 months of crappy cycles.

Everything was different for a few cycles (heavier and more painful) and it took over a year for my boobs to look normal again.

Did you have a D&C?  I had one many years ago and it led to endometriosis.  Your pain sounds like endo pain.

I just finished my first period after my ectopic and it was less painful than my usual period.  But I suppose everyone is different.

@MrsCarnival:  I don’t remember exactly how many and I have long cycles (35+ days) when off BCPs so I am probably not a great example of how many cycles.  I can say that I had the MC in July and didn’t feel normal until November or December.

@MrsCarnival:  Sorry to hear about your loss hon, if you ever need to talk I’m a PM away. Fiance and I lost a baby at 20 weeks back in 2010 and my periods weren’t normal for about a year. The cramps were worse and the bleeding was heavier, but after that they went back to normal. I hope you get to feeling better, soon! You should talk to your doctor, there may be something that he/she can give you that will make things easier.

@MrsCarnival:  My first period after my MC in Feb was definitely more intense and heavy. Even with tylenol, I was in the fetal position in bed the first night because my cramps were so intense. After that the pain mostly subsided, but the bleeding was heavier, with more blood clots. It isn’t fun at all ๐Ÿ™ *hugs*

@MrsCarnival:  I had a d and c in June, my cycle came back in July, and was terrible. I went for my yearly in sept and my OB put me on a cycle of birth control. That helped so much. Then I went off BC, had 3 normal cycles and got my BFP.
