@linnylou_88:  Hello fellow 3/4 eternity bezel band bee (haha that was a mouthful)! I think it’s ok. Both my band and my ering are bezel set. I get them checked regularly by my jeweler for loose stones but I haven’t had any major issues. I do tend to take my rings off when I sleep and when I shower, but other than that my band is almost always on my finger.

ETA: I would watch for loose stones immediately after you have it made (once you start wearing it) since you said it was custom. Bezel settings are notoriously difficult to make and easy to mess up, so just be sure that they got everything tight initially. Mine had to be retightened once about a month or two after I started wearing it because it was also custom and the jeweler noticed some stones moving a bit more than he was comfortable with.

ETA2: Please post pictures when you get it, I have a serious addiction to bezel-set anything.

I have a channel set and take it off when I shower to avoid soap scum getting in there and when I cook to avoid raw meat getting in there. Other than that, it stays on. I get it inspected and professionally cleaned twice a year.

@linnylou_88:  I always took off my bezel set, and now that I have a shared prong, I still do.  I think it’s just personal preference.

I have a channel set band and I think I would feel fine never taking it off. I still do though.

@linnylou_88:  I have a bezel set engagement ring and a channel set wedding band.  I wear them both ALL the time.  The only time I take them off is if I am handling raw chicken or something like that.  I knock the crap out of my rings– and my engagement ring stands a lot more than your wedding band will (although I would say it’s still lower profile that a lot of other rings).

I would feel confident in your bezel set band!

I have a channel set ring, and I take it off to sleep every night.  However, I wear it every place else, and I’ve never had a problem.
