My husband and I are going to Disney World for 5 days at the end of this month as a belated honeymoon. We will be in Orlando for a total of 9 days, with the first 4 days being spent at a national scientific conference in my field and the last 5 days at Disney. We planned this trip with my aunt and her family, who live in another state. My aunt offered to purchase our park tickets for us as a belated wedding gift, and we accepted her generous offer. My uncle is in the military, and therefore gets the military discount. She sent us our ticket codes a while back, and the tickets have already been linked to out accounts.
Sadly, we are not sure if my aunt and her family will be able to make it now. My uncle’s father is not doing well, and they may not be able to leave him in his condition (he lives in Ohio). My question is will this affect our military tickets? The initial idea was for the 5 of us to spend some of the trip together, and therefore, avoid any issues with the military tickets. Now it’s looking like it will just be Darling Husband and I, and neither of us are military but we have military discount tickets. Should I call Disney and explain the situation? Or will they not even ask for a military ID since the tickets have already been purchased and linked to our wristbands?
