Well our flower person flaked out on me so now I’m 3 months away with no florist and not a huge budget. Flowers have never been a big priority for me so I’m not really freaking out.
I’m thinking of just ordering them from Sam’s Club because I dont’ want anything fancy, just plain rose bouquets.
My question is, I’m going to have to assemble the bouquets the day before, but what do I do about wrapping them and keeping them in water?
Do I just wrap them in ribbon and just put them in a vase like that overnight and let the ribbon get wet?
Do I just wrap it and only put a little bit of water in the vase so the ribbon stays dry?
I know we will not have time to wrap them the day of, so it’s going to have to be done on Friday, but I don’t want the flowers to die!

You can wrap them the day before and carefully put them in individual vases with little water, have someone check them every 5 or 6 hours to see if they need more water. You can also get premade covers or wraps (don t recall the correct word) that come with velcro and the bouquet only takes a few seconds to get wrapped. I would also advice a trial a few weeks before the wedding.

I wrapped mine with ribbon, but left the bottom free (about an inch or so). Then I stuck the bouquets in a little bit of water (just enough to cover the bottom). Some of the ribbon got wet, but it dried fairly quickly. Even with it wet, you couldn’t really tell while holding the bouquets (I used pewter ribbon too). Make sure you give yourself plenty of time the day before so you can play around with the flowers. It might also be good to enlist some help. I did 9 bouquets in about 3 hours with help from my mo mom and Maid/Matron of Honor.
