Looking for people out there who have had or are going to have their wedding at Gedney Farm in New Marlborough, Massachusetts. If so, I have a few questions. One, we are trying to figure out who, if anyone, from the venue we need to tip on the day of. It’s unclear to me who will be our day of coordinator, and how much that person should get. If anyone has any insight, I’d love to hear it. Also, we’re trying to figure out how much time to a lot for our processional music if we have the ceremony outdoors. We’re having a Sunday wedding, and can’t do a rehearsal because there’s a Saturday wedding, too. I know that it’s a little bit of a walk to the knoll from the main barn, so I want to make sure I leave enough time for music. Our processional is pretty long — chuppah, rabbi, bridesmaids, groomsmen, ring bearer, flower girl, fiance w/parents, me w/parents. We’re hiring a DJ who is doing our ceremony music, too, so we’re picking a rock/pop song, so we want to pick something on the longer side, but I’m not sure how long that would need to be.
Anyone with experience with these things, please let me know!
