Unfortunately, I’d say reschedule.  Usually if they say you need to fast for a procedure, it means that they’re looking at things that are different on an empty stomach.  Stuff like blood glucose and cholesterol can be different after only a few calories.

Yeah, you need to reschedule…it’s the milk that’ll affect the results.  Also the caffeine will speed up your heart rate.  I don’t know what they’re looking at (triglycerides or what) but you should just plan to do it another day.

I’d reschedule.  The cardiac patients I used to work with, the rule was no fatty foods for 48 hours prior to bloodwork, esp if lipid panel drawn.

Coffee is okay because it doesn’t have calories, but milk is a no-go with fasting bloodwork. I honestly don’t think that a little bit of skim milk would make much of a difference but it’ll be harder to know what to do with the results if they aren’t normal.
