I think I have found my dream dress, even though I have just seen pictures of it. unfortunately they don’t retail Lazaro in northern Europe (or Europe at all??). So I won’t be able to try the dress on. I was at a bridal salon yesterday and tried on some dresses. And then we realised that some dresses were actually too short for me!
I am 5’9″ without heels. I won’t be wearing more than max 3″ heels.
So to the questions, are there other, tall 3108 brides out there?(Or shorter brides with high heels) did you have to order an extra long dress?
I really wanted to purchase a used one, since its alot of money to spend on a dress, that I won’t be able to try on first. But if I need to order a longer dress, that might narrow it down alot.

I am a tall bride, I am also about 5″9″ without heels. I too have a Lazaro dress and I didn’t have problems with the length. I bought my dress right off the mannequin at a sample sale. I tried on a ton of sample gowns and none of them were too short, so I never really thought of it being a problem. Could you have a seamtress add length to it if there were a problem once you ordered it?
This is my dress-
My heels- (3inch heel height)
If you are REALLY unsure and have some extra cash, maybe check their store locator, maybe you could travel somewhere to see it?
Sorry if this doesn’t help much.
I have to say, I do not regret choosing a Lazaro gown, they are beautiful and worth every penny 🙂

This thread has a size chart for Lazaro dresses – it might help you find out if you will have enough material on your dress.
Lazaro size charts
I wore Lazaro 3108 last Friday and even though I was only around 5’7″ in my heels a lot of fabric had to be cut off the bottom to make it the proper length.

I’m pretty sure wedding dresses are made in 6′ and 5’6″ heights. So as long as they’re a standard 6′, you should be fine!

@jenny001: Thank you so much! So your dress was the right lenght for you? No alterations needed? 🙂 (what a gorgeous dress you bought!! :-D)
I don’t think it will be possible to add lenght to the dress, I mean. It will probably show, as the skirt is a full tulle skirt?
I tried the store locator. I found 2 stores in europe that I might be able to go to. One is an hour drive outside Rome, and the other one in Munich. I could email them, and ask if they happen to have a sample of the 3108!
I’d really love to go to NY to try one on, but the cost for the trip alone, will be too high! 🙁
Thank you again, it has been helpful 🙂
@LindsayLoves: Thank you! Will definately check that out! 🙂 By the way..how long is the train of the dress? There are so many pictures of this dress out there, but I am struggling to find really good ones of the train. And did you bustle yours? (I’m really curious of how it will look like)
@BrandNewBride: Thank you!:-)
How far off the ground is the front of the dress supposed to be? 1″?

The Lazaro 3108 is also my dress and I am 6’0″ without shoes. We needed to add extra length to the dress for me, but only a couple inches. I absolutely love heels and was planning on wearing them on my wedding day until recently. I spotted a knockout pair of jewel encrusted peep toe flats by vera wang that really compliment the dress 🙂 I am planning on wearing flats! no one seriously will be able to see our feet in this skirt anyhow! If you are concerned about length, would you consider flats? If you are looking for a used dress, look for a bride with similar height to you and go from there!
good luck and keep us posted

I also live in Europe (Germany, actually) and I’m 6′ (w/o shoes). I also fell in love with the Lazaro gown but couldn’t get in anywhere. What is actually available around here, and at a much better price, is the Forever Yours 4912, which actually looks like the Lazaro but is in a more blush color. I plan on wearing flats for my wedding, and I guess a little bit of the tulle will have to be removed. So this could be your solution 🙂
You can see it here:
Oh, btw, it can be ordered in a “tall” version if you plan on wearing high heels.
