I hired a MUA to do my makeup, but my question is wrong to offer extra money to buy the lipstick they used if you like the shade? I’m afraid ill love the lipstick but won’t have any for touch up. Or shall I just bring my own for later?

Ask her about it – I’ve looked into a lot of MUAs and almost all of them list “a full sized lipstick for you to keep for touchups” as something that’s included in their base fee.

Hi there, I am a makeup artist in the Boston area and may be able to help. Some artists sell products for future use. I personally do not, I tend to think it is an upsell. I give the bride a free lip gloss as I use a lip stain and it can be dry. If a girl is really concerned I keep little containers in my kit and will give her some of it with a disposable brush. Its your choice, but don’t pay more than you would else where.
