I have 2 in my home 5X8 and a 4X6 and one in my locker at work 4X6.  We have children, most of the pics we have up are of them.

We have a 12×14 canvas of the wedding, and a couple of tiny prints around the house (5×7)

We have a couple mixed in with other pictures from trips or holidays with family.  I think there are only one or two from our wedding that are just us, the others are us with family or us with friends.  I have a friend with the “wedding shrine” pictures of just her and her Darling Husband that is right when you walk into the house and really turned me off from using too many of them.

Wasn’t trying to offend. I think it’s a case of “different strokes.” I wouldn’t feel comfortable is all, and I’m sure some people around me would judge if I gave a photo of myself for an occasion. (Some of the people I knnow also judge me for all sorts of things like admitting I’m on vacation on hoiday. Carmudgeons.) I’m sure it entirely depends on individual family, region, social class etc. (My family, for example, is pretty blue collar and sometimes gets weird about my success/different life path than theirs.)

I think that haviing big photos of myself around is weird, so here’s my plan (just go my pro-pics back so haven’t executed yet)

 – 1 large photo in the bedroom.  I’ll choose one that’s a little more abstract or where we’re a bit farther out, not a portrait of our faces.

 – 1 photo of Darling Husband in my office

 – Add some of the family photos to my family photo book shelf

We have two 11×13 in the living room, and one of those photo collage frames of wedding pics.  We also have a couple framed in the bedroom.  I also have one small print on my desk at work.  Maybe since I haven’t ordered an album yet I went overboard on the prints??

We have our thumbprint tree guest book framed on our living room wall, and then I’m going to get four photos from the wedding printed to put in the four-photo frame that was given to us as a wedding gift.  I have to choose which ones, though!!

First marriage (circa 1980) happened when I was a fresh faced Uni Grad…

We had a lot of Wedding Pics… a collage in our Family Room, a couple shot in our MB, as well as a Bridal Pic of me, and one of him (taken in the hours just before the Wedding Ceremony).  Another of the two of us in our Home’s Family Photo Gallery (with family).  And we each had a 5×7 at the office.

We also had our Wedding Album (8×10 pics) out on the Coffee Table for years.

Lol, as our life together grew, we added to our home pics of other family members, and photos taken on special occasions (Parent’s 25th Wedding Anniversary – Extended Family Members – Kids Birth Pics – Kids School Pics – Kids Sports & Activity Pics – Kids Graduation Pics etc)

This time round…

I have to say there isn’t nearly enough pics of Mr TTR & I in our home.  A few holiday pics, our Engagement Photo, and one Wedding Photo.  I’ve been meaning to rectify this since we got married, but somehow haven’t gotten around to it (I blame it on too many home reno projects.  When I finally get around to the key rooms that will have pics… Family Room, MBedroom etc, think I’ll be sure and do it then)

Uggh, even our Wedding Photo Album & the one for our Honeymoon is still stuffed away somewheres…

Lol… BAD WIFE !!

Hope this helps,

We have four 8×10 framed wedding photos above our couch, and an 11×16 over our bed.

I really don’t think it’s a big deal to have pictures of yourselves around your house. We have probably 10-15 framed pictures of ourselves throughout our house, but we also have a lot of art and other decorations. (Of those, maybe 3-4 are wedding photos.) My husband is away on business a lot and it makes me so happy to see framed photos of some of our happiest moments – it’s not like the photos are there for the purpose of, “Look how good looking we are! And we got married – what an accomplishment!” Instead, I think they’re sentimental – we had an amazing day with all of our favorite people and I love to reminisce about it. Same thing with the other photos – we have some framed photos of us on vacation, and those bring back so many happy memories of those fun trips, and motivate me to save money for future getaways!

All of that said… I’m not a big fan of giant photos of me or of us. We have a framed canvas that’s, I dunno, about 10″x15″, but other than that I generally frame 5×7 photos.

It’s not a big deal to have pictures of yourself hanging. After all, what’s the point of being photographed if you aren’t going to display them?

As a photographer I stress to people all the time – get the images off your computer and onto your walls! As a married lady who is a busy business owner, I know the reality of how long it can take when life gets busy…lol.

Our 1 year anniversary is next weekend, and I *just* ordered prints from our wedding. I’ve ordered two 11×14’s of the hubby and I (one just the two of us, one with our dog), and an 8×12 of us, and then two 8×10’s of me w/ my girls and him w/ his guys.

What took me so long is that we’ve finally deicded to start working on a photo wall going up our stairway – and it seemed silly to have prints sitting around before it was time to hang them. We’ve lived in our home for 5 years, and already have quite a bit of artwork and other photos already hanging.

We’re terrible though, and aside from what I just ordered we have NO pictures of ourselves around our home..haha. We have 1 tiny little framed 5×7 of us when we first started dating, and a couple in our bedroom. I just hung an 8×10 from our engagement session up, and I have a framed 16×20 from our engagement session (I just ordered) that needs to be hung.

Havent got around to it yet, but I want to dedicate a wall to wedding photos, not just pictures of us, but with our bridal party, family & friends.

@SeaSalt:   +1 Ugh, this is so true.

I recently posted about not having received any thank-you cards over the past years that I’ve attended weddings and some people came to the defense of even the people whose wedding was a year ago saying it could have taken them that long to receive their photographs.

I wanted to say, “Just because the card has a picture of you on it doesn’t make it any less rude it was sent a year later!”

I plan on doing a photo wall above our couch and it will most likely be mixed with photos from our honeymoon as well.

I don’t see a problem with having nice photos of yourselves at all.  I agree with the above poster….I paid a lot of money for pictures so I want to display them. haha.
