quantumleap48 :  thank you for posting this, I have 5 rings that paid for on Etsy and eBay. Ones that were moissanite from India (none registered as moissanite with a tester. Some did after a few attempts- Basically I felt ripped off and confused why none of my Indian moissanite from ALL different sellers were not registering as moissanit w a tester. Or in the case of two separate earrings one stone would bleep w the moissanite tester and the other earring would not. None of my jewelry from India was very shiny or white. I finally purchased a Charles and colvardmoissanite ring and I was blown away. I get compliments all the time and it really is night and day. This has also happened with a handful of my Friends who ordered moissanite from India and the center 6stomes of s necklace were moissanite but then the rest of the necklace was glass or something that the moissanite tester could not pick up.

Since a lot of people are posting about Charles & Colvard moissanite (instead of MoissaniteCo brand), I’ll contrast those two. I ordered the same shape in both, and the cut is different. I actually prefer the MoissaniteCo version (more fire), but both are lovely. MoissaniteCo has a good return policy as well, so there’s no harm getting a loose stone from them to compare to your Ebay one.

I have no experience with cheap Indian moissanite.
