When people say their ring weight, do they mean total or just the center? For instance, I have a 1.01 CT and the bands make it come to 2.5 total. But when I read about others, I tend to read it as their center stones, not total. Is that right?

I generally think center stone too. Mostly because that is what I’m referring to when I talk about it. I don’t know the total weight, just what my center stone is.
An example: when someone says “let’s see all 2 ct rings and above) I am expecting to see 2ct center stones, not 2 ct total.

I usually just refer to the center

That’s what I was thinking too…because when I think of 2CT I think how nice and big it looks but my ring just looks average…for now. LOL…Just yesterday I finally got my hubby to agree to getting me the 1.5-2 CT I really wanted in the first place! 🙂

I guess it depends on the post. I guess I usually just assume that it means the center stone.

Yeah bc then it would be like 1ct and 2.5tw or something.

Center. At least that is how I look at it!
