Alright. This is more than likely going to end badly, or with all of us yelling at each other on the internet. But I’m writing this because there is no way that I am the only person thinking this.
I’m not really sure where to start. I’m going to try my best to word this in the most tactful way. I could be setting myself up to get my account banned or removed. I wasn’t going to waste time making an anonymous account to post this.
Question 1) Will I be instantly banned if I REALLY piss off a Mod? Or will I get a warning? I ask this because it seems like there is a bit of favoritism on here.
Question 2) What’s the deal right now? That’s directed to Mods and every other Bee. I have no idea who controls what on this forum- this isn’t directed at anyone specifically. Some pretty heavy shit came out in one of the posts tonight. Then got instantly shut down. Is it a taboo topic now? Can we NEVER talk about it?
If in fact we are never allowed to discuss this on the Bee- Why?
I’m posting this on the pretense that this is something we are not to discuss on here. That’s what I’m gathering. I could be totally wrong, but why? Why was the post even shut down? Kind of a double standard, is it not?
I’m searching for specifically controversial topics right now in the Boards. We spoke candidly about Casey Anthony. We talk about the news almost every day.
We have an enormous thread circulating right now, from a mother posting about how severely her child is being bullied. Bullied. Something that no child should have to deal with. We are judging the parents of the bullies for having children that act like that. We are furious at the school for being neglectful in protecting the life of a child.
But then a case is brought to attention specifically focused on child neglect, and it’s shut down?
[comment moderated for attack moderators/snark] We can hate on individuals for being neglectful, but only if they’re not a forum member? It’s not like a blind accusation was made. This didn’t come out of nowhere. It’s the internet and it was inevitable that this would eventually come to light. Why can we talk about the awful deaths of other children, and how horrible it is? Bit of a double standard, is it not?
We post links to videos and articles from other trials. Why was this one so much more different? Why did people freak out on here that a username was brought to attention?
I’m confused. I can’t be the only one.
And FWIW, I’m not attacking the person responsible for the crime. I didn’t witness the trial, and I have done no personal research on the matter. I just don’t understand the preferential treatment.
Looking for some answers. Hopefully I get some from Mods and other users before this gets taken down.
