I love the idea of a wedding website, especially since half of our guest will be out of town and I have family members who want to know every detail. On the web site we can include accomodation listings, maps, ceremony info, pictures ect.
Do you think it is ok to include the web address on the invitation? Or, should we email our out of town guests and family members with the link?

I’d include an additional card that points your guests to your website. If you want to put the URL on your invite, it’s up to you. I personally want to keep my invites more formal, though.

I am thinking of adding it as an additional card in my pocket fold invitation, behind the RSVP.

@Gemstone: I agree. I included a separate slip of paper in my invitations with the web address on it. All it said was something like, “For our stories, pictures, and the most up-to-date information about our wedding, please visit our wedding website!”, then the URL.

I like the idea of keeping it separate from the actual invitation. We are using pocketfold invitations so adding another piece of paper along with the RSVP, reception information should not be a problem.
@FutureMrsSpinewiz I like your wording for the website card.
Thanks for your help !

Hmmmm… I put our on the invite, but now I’m thinking of putting it seperate… meh, we’ll see. We have a paper cutter at work, so maybe I can grab some card stock and make something that way….
Thanks for reminding me about a “map” card… our guests will need it to find our venue!!!! (yay!!! one more thing for me to create! woooot!!!!)
