No, expired tests can give you a false positive. : (0 votes)

I’d say that if it only expired this year it’s likely to be working correctly πŸ™‚ And I had no implantation bleeding either.. so I wouldn’t worry about that. Wait a few more days and try again with a new test, but I think it’s very likely to be positive πŸ™‚

I think it’s most likely a true positive, but can you test again tomorrow with a new test? Good luck!! πŸ™‚

Ehh I’d get a FRER just to be sure. It seems really early for a digital to be positive, as usually they require more HCG than a FRER. It’s certainly possible though.

Only like 20% of pregnancies having implantation bleeding, so don’t base your thoughts on that!

Seconding everyone else saying get a second test to be extra sure. I had no implantation bleeding and basically no symptoms for the entire first trimester, so don’t get hung up on that!!

    Congratulations πŸ™‚

nygirla:  you’re pregnant. Congrats! You can take more tests if you want, but expired tests still work.

I had no pregnancy symptoms until 5 weeks and only had implantation bleeding for one of my 3 pregnancies.

Implantation bleeding is absolutely not something to rely on for pregnancy. I did not have it with my older son and quite frankly was surprised when I did have it with this one, it was just a tiny bit of spotting halfway through the tww. I would say that is probably a true positive, but definitely would take another test to confirm. Good luck and hopefully congrats!!
