I made a post last month – went off the pill in feb, no period, so when to my doctor and got blood work done. All my blood work came back normal, so she gave me a progesterone challenge, had a bleed 2 days after progesterone challenge… now I’m 10 days since my bleed (since it’s not a real period)… I guess next step is chlomid next month if I don’t ovulate.
is the provera just a test for estrogen levels. Or can it kick start your cycle back to normal? I am antsy.

KB87 : Provera just induces a bleed/period so that you can “start” your cycle new. I’m not sure what you mean by using it as an estrogen test – but the likelihood is that your OB prescribed it so that you can have a new cycle, with the intention to ovulate after that bleed. I would guess that if you do not ovulate, then you will induce another period with prover and take clomid/femara in your next cycle to see if that will cause ovulation.

KB87 : sorry to thread jack- did it cost anything for you to get clomid or is it covered under your insurance? That will be my next step and I’m curious.
