Okay bees, I have officially hopped on the Fertility Friend train and will begin now (even though I’m in the middle of my cycle) and start to really track everything. I put in all my information and it told me that I O’ed on the 7th but just a few days ago, I had cramping and EWCM so I’m not sure if FF is wrong or if I just don’t know my body as well as I thought. Anyway, here is my question… I want to start tracking my BBT and I am waiting on my thermometer to arrive. How hard is it to track your BBT. I know they say to do it before you move, talk, get out of bed so what is the best way to track this without getting an incorrect reading? DH and I have been TTC for a few cycles and figured that now we really need to look at all aspects of my cycle for the best timing. Thanks in advance!!! 🙂

It’s not hard at all! I normally just pop it in my mouth and take my temp before I get out of bed in the morning. Just make sure you had a solid block of sleep before (3+ hours), and to temp at the same time every day, regardless of if it’s a weekend or not. So like on Sat/Sun, I kept my 5:30AM alarm on, took my temp, recorded it, then went back to sleep.
But overall it’s quite simple!

What PP said. temping is actually pretty easy! Take temp as soon as you wake up, same time every day, put temp in FF. Done!

It might take you a little while to get used to temping, for me I was waking up an hour or 2 before my alarm for the first week anxious that I was going to sleep through it. Once you get into a routine it becomes second nature- you literally don’t even think about it- just automatically alarm=thermometer.
I would probably take what the app says with a grain of salt until you have given it a few more months worth of data and are confirming ovulation with temping.
