Hey Ladies.. I feel like I’ve been asking alot of questions lately so I apologize.
I just finished my fertile window.. I had downloaded multiple apps for ovulation calendars.. they all give me different days.. but between all of them it says my fertile window was from November 23-30th.
We had sex on November 19,20,25,27. I took OPK tests on the 24,25,26,27,28 and the 26,27,28 ones were positive. With strong lines. When we had sex on the 27th we tried a few positions and then i switched to be on top for what ended up being a very short time as it was very painful. . It felt as if my husbands penis wad jabbing my cervix. So painful so we switched to misionary and it didn’t hurt.
During the day/evening of the 26 and 27th I felt the slight cramping of my left side..
is that normal to feel?? Does that pain mean we had sex on the day I ovulated??
I’m really hoping this cycle worked.
Any help/advice is greatly appreciated! !!!
Thanks for answering all my questions that seem to be everyday haha

From only using opks it seems you would ovulate the 28th or 29th. No ovulation calendar can tell you when you ovulate unless you temp. I have pain and cramps different times throughout the month that usually don’t end up being related to ovulation at all, but many people do have ovulation pains but only temping can confirm that. If the opks were negative after the 28th then I’d assume you ovulate the 28th or 29th.

Some women experience ovulation cramping, some do not. But the fact that you are actively TTC now means you’re going to be paying very close attention to every little pinch and cramp and ache so it’s more likely that it was just a coincidence. OPKs can be tough as they don’t really tell you for sure when you actually ovulate, I highly recommend temping.

jny1179: since I’ve been off the pill (may 2014) I would always feel the pains/cramping on one side when I noticed more of a liquidy discharge.

MrsN14: I only experience cramps during period and then I’ve been keeping track the past couple of months to see how “on point” the calculators were.. and I would always notice the CM aND cramping during that window.

Nickig_4: Are you temping? That will be the only way to definitely tell whether you have ovulated. CM and CP are not a guarantee of ovulation. Your body can gear up to, but not. But lets just say you did in fact ovulate (you know your cycles better than all of us), yes, many women can feel ovulation pains and/or their cervix is more irritated around ovulation. Without temping and seeing where your temps are, you will have to stick with those dates as ovulation and start the countdown to AF/take a test.
And if you don’t temp, have you thought about starting? I think you can benefit from it. It’ll give you a little more control and answers. Not to mention its helpful to bring to the doctors. I learned that before temping, I *thought* I was ovulating but was actually forming cysts. I now started on Vitex to help regulate things.
Hope you get your BFP soon!

Sofetch15: No I don’t track my temps..If this month doesn’t work maybe I’ll start?
I’d obviously benefit from doing so.
I just reallly want this month to be THE month… When should I take my first test??
I’m supposed to get my period on December 12th-ish…

Nickig_4: Do you have a pretty set or predictable cycle? Like you have a very good idea of when AF is to show? Tests (FRER) are 99% on the day of your missed period, but obviously you see many women who take them a day or two before AF is to arrive.

Sofetch15:
yes its pretty on point.
I have a clear blue test at home…maybe I’ll go grab a few First response tests…
I just really want this sooo badly

Nickig_4: FRERs are just the best (they’re pink dye tests). Most reliable, that’s why women like them. Some other tests you get EVAP lines on.
Good Luck. FX this is your cycle for a BFP.

As others have said, it’s difficult to really pinpoint ovulation without temping, although based on what you have observed it sounds like you’re in with a good chance this month. FX for you!!

I used to feel the cramps each month too, and had the classic EWCM.. then I started temping and discovered I was ovulating 2-3 days earlier than I had always though. Temping is the only way to know for sure.

jny1179: I would totally think the same except I started testing with OPK on the 22nd and then started to get positives on the 26th. I really hope it happens !

I’ve been feeling a bloated/cramping/soreness above my public bone… does this mean anything ???
