Get some cheapo towels and put the juicy parts over them. I.e., you could have your bum on top of one. Double-fold would be smart, too. :p

A lot of people have painful first times, but my first time was not painful, and was actually very pleasurable.  As to mess, put a towel down if it’s someone else’s bed and keep a few paper towels nearby for self-cleanup.  It’s manageable, but I really recommend the towel if you don’t want to leave a huge spot on the sheets.

Oh, and you can buy some cheapo sheets too if you’re super worried. I’d go for the towel trick first though. πŸ™‚

I don’t think it will be as messy as you are afraid of. Of course, I agree with everyone who suggests putting a towel down, that’s just polite since it isn’t your bed.

As far as clean-up goes, my personal trick is, and I know this sounds weird, but use hemorrhoidal pads, or just plain witch hazel. They are clean, and if you are sensitive to perfumes or cleansers (like in those baby wipe things) these won’t give you that problem.

I agree with the towels.

Why not splurge though and get yourselves some sexy silky sheets?  Especially if the bed @ the condo is the same size as yours at home….  πŸ˜€

Oh yeah! You can use baby-wipes if you don’t feel like showering immediately. Helps against UTIs too.  (Though try to pee after sex! The last thing you want on your honeymoon is a UTI)

I vote against the silky sheets.  They can make it really hard to stay in one place and not slide off the bed…

It’s not going to be as wet as you think (I hope! Wink). My Boyfriend or Best Friend and I always cuddle after, and if there is a mess, quick clean up (shower?) and THEN cuddle! All clean and warm πŸ™‚

Fiance and I will cuddle for a minute immediately after, get cleaned up, and then go back to cuddling.  You’re right.  Cuddling in a mess is no fun.

We’ll lay there and cuddle/breathe for a second, but then the “need to clean!” kicks in and there’s quick shower AND THEN awesome cuddles. πŸ™‚

The towel trick also helps that nobody has to sleep in the wet spot.

Don’t worry, my first time wasn’t messy or painful.  Everyone is different.  Just remember to relax and using a towel is a good idea as much for any potential mess as for putting your mind at ease.  As for cuddling, in my experience it’s never immediate!  Usually it’s after going to the bathroom, cleaning up and putting pjs back on πŸ˜‰  Good luck, best wishes for your wedding and have fun!
