I will be photographer shopping/interviewing this weekend and would like some last minute advice. Is there something important I should ask, know, want, etc. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated, Thanks Bees!

Just a few thoughts — Who specifically will be your photographer? In the event of an emergency, will there be a backup? How long will they be there? (My photographers came to the rehearsal to get familar with the wedding party and anything unique we were doing ceremony-wise). Does the package price include the album? Do you get the digital images to keep? Do they tend to have a set style (and does it mesh with what you want)?

What are their plans regarding wet weather! Our poor photographer was out in the rain for most of our pics so this was an important one for us! Do they bring back up equipment, umbrellas etc. How long are they staying for etc.
I’d also recommend for futher down the track that you write them a list of any photos you want taken. I wrote a list of shots of people I wanted but forgot to do one for detail shots… I spent $150 on a new bottle of perfume cos I wanted her to take a photo of it… and on the day I was so busy I totally forgot to give her the bottle… so no nice photo of my Dolce & Gabbana “The One”… sigh!

I’d ask when the photos will be delivered to you. Make sure it’s a timeline you can live with, and whoever you go with, get it in writing.
