Just got the husband to agree to a bedroom makeover this Saturday. I already have a quick list of things I want to pull out (rearrange some furniture, put on new sheets and bedspread that I just purchased, etc.) but I’m trying to think of things that we may be able to do that are 1. Quick (I only get Saturday) and 2. Cheaperish.
I wish I had a picture, but really it’s just in the beginning stages- so there is little in the room: just an overhead fan/light, bed (no frame), two end tables, and a storage chest. Boring! Right now the main colors are light grey and purple, with dark expresso wood.
I guess I’m mainly looking for accessories- be it for the walls or little things. If you’re lusting pretty hard for something in particular, I’d love to see it.

Curtains always make a huge difference! You can get really cheap ones at IKEA!

what about a pretty mirror or new lamps?

@missfrillycoat: I bought a duvet cover at Ikea for $25 and I hung it by those ring curtain clips hung on screws from the top of the wall behind my bed. Screws because I’m too lazy to go buy hooks (which would look a little better, but luckily I have high ceilings!) and a duvet cover because it was cheaper than curtains.

IKEA has cute and cheap lamps. Get some for the nightstands and maybe one larger one for a corner or something.
A vase with some flowers always brightens up a room.
Paint the walls or try temporary wallpaper.
Get a new area rug.
Get an air freshener or new candle in a pretty scent.
Frame a favorite poster (IKEA has cheap frames).
