that’s a great idea to send the flowers to nursing homes and such. I don’t have any suggestions, but just wanted to compliment your idea!

One of network vendors called ‘Flowers by Hollie’ located in Pittsburgh, PA specializes in silk flowers. You can check her out or giver her a call. She would be willing work within your budget or needs. Hopefully this may be what you’re looking for.

Her website is http://flowersbyhollie.webs.com

By the way I love your idea about giving them away to nursing homes and etc…..very thoughtful! I’m sure that they will appreciate it.

Happy Planning!

have you tried save-on-crafts.com? They have good bulk discounts. I also know pottery barn usually have good sales as well as Hobby Lobby! can we say summer clearance anyone? Lol.

the dollar tree has silk flowers as well, but I can’t say how long those would last but they are only a dollar 😀

Hope this helps..

I actually am using a silk florist for our wedding. Since you’re in Pottstown, I would suggest giving Forever Silks a try. They are located in Walnutport, PA (1.5 hrs or so from you). Go to http://www.ForeverSilks.com (sorry don’t have the phone number on hand). The owner Ginny is so great to work with. She may be able to help you.

You can tell her the Roddy Bride sent you. She should know me by this name as she follows my blog.

Try http://www.1888flowermall.com  I ordered a few things from them once and was very impressed. One of the items I ordered was this  http://www.1888flowermall.com/_e/Artificial_Bouquets/product/FBQ685-RO-GR/_1_Bouquet_Artificial_10_5_Silk_Rose_Hydrangea_Mixed_Bouquet.htm  I cut the stems down, put it in a round glass vase, and wrapped a large leaf around the inside and it looks great! 2 of the roses in the bunch are velvety with a slightly different color inside than outside and they look so pretty.

I have to say most of the photos on their website are poor quality so I wasn’t sure how good the flowers would look in person but they were great. If you’re interested I can try to take a photo of the arrangement I put together so you can see for yourself.
