Do you prefer threading or waxing eyebrows? I was planning on trying to get my eyebrows threaded but I have never had it done before. How long in advance before should I schedule an appt. I am getting married in two weeks!

I love threading! I used to breakout with waxing but I get no side effects with threading. I would say two days before the wedding, but since youve never had it done before I don’t know if you will have a reaction to it, although I doubt it.

Threading! There’s no wax to irritate your skin and it is much more accurate/precise IMO.
I would do it about a week before.

Waxing can give me little blisters, so I went with threading. I found it more painful than I expected, but my eyebrows did look good. Give it at least a week before just in case there is any irritation.

Definately threading. Waxing is extremely painful for me, and it feels like my skin is being ripped off. The threading is a little painful, but it is more irritating than anything, but still bearable. I am very fair skinned and have a very low pain threshold though, so that may have something to do with the pain factor. The only issue that I had afterward was that my eyebrows were itchy for a couple of days. I just applied lotion for those few days and then they were fine. I also think that the threading lasts longer than the waxing.

Threading for sure! I had it done for the first time a few weeks ago and I loved it. It didn’t hurt, just felt slightly uncomfortable. It feels like plucking but more hairs are getting ripped out at a time so the “pain” is a little more. Just made my eyes water. It took about 7-10 minutes and I was pink for about 20 minutes after that. But half and hour after no one would know I had just had it done. I loved the way my brows looked. Can’t wait to go again.
Oh and the best part was that it cost a whopping $9. SCORE!

Threading for sure. Although the pain is similar to plucking, I’m really happy with the way it turns out after, and my skin doesn’t react (turn pink) like it did with waxing. I would say try it now if you can, and if you need to go back a day or 2 before the wedding. But if your hair doesn’t grow fast, (mine totally does) then maybe just go a few days before and there won’t be any signs of irratation

I have to disagree, me mom and sister decided to try threading out one day and it was the worst decision ever! The pain was ridiculous, I was almost in tears and had to tell the lady to stop. My mom in sister were troppers but afterward they both didn’t stop talking about how painful it was. I’ll stick with waxing.

i COMPLETELY agree with june!! Threading is EXTREMELY PAINFUL!!!!! i have done it off and on for a few years and I was always told that that the pain decreases with time but for me that was not the case. it is so bad that i gave up on going altogether!!
