Are you a "crafty bride"? If so, could you make little mini pieces of art and pass those out?  Maybe you could print some out on some nice cardstock and then put them in some inexpensive frames?  Or maybe make your own book marks with your wedding info and thank you on one side and a grouping (like three in a row) on the other side? Then you could use string that matches your colors?  They have printable ones in most craft stores.

Woudl you consider making your own chocolate favors?  Or some sort of "artsy" cookie?  I love the look of "lace" cookies!

Have you checked Etsy? There are a good amount of Etsy sellers that are Canada-based which would help with the shipping costs.

Another idea would be to recover candy bars. Any candy that has two wrappers (foil and outer wrapper with the brand name on it) would work fine. Just remove the outer wrapper and use it as a template to make your own personalized wrappers. A little double-stick tape is all you need to secure the new wrapper. As your wedding is in an art gallery, maybe use some famous paintings on the candy.

Do you know anyone who is a graphic artist? They could always design something for you and then you can print it and re-cover them? You can print them yourselves or at Kinko’s. It should be much cheaper!
