I worked as a nanny for 3+ years-initially the newborn girl#1, and eventually, girl#1 as a 3 y/I with her newborn sister (now almost 1) for 12/hr. try sittercity.com, tons of bbsitting jobs for more money!

I say its best to focus on being a mommy and relaxing! Enjoy this once and a lifetime opportunity to watch your baby grow up! Since you don’t have to do it, its not worth driving through snow, and endagering you or your babies life!

There will come a time where it will be more opportune for you to go out and work and you will know its right. Follow your heart!

my first job for bagging at groceries almost a decade ago STARTED at $6.00…minimum wage was $5.75 at that time, I don’t even know what it is now but $5.00 isn’t worth losing your sanity over especially if you don’t need the additional money. It sounds like your heart is already out of the idea of doing this job so I would just be honest with the woman and tell her you’re not cut out for it so she has time to find a replacement…good luck!

I would give notice and finish out the week if the person asked me to. Doesn’t sound like you like it at all, and it sounds like you’ve already made up you mind and were just looking for support. Has someone told you that you need a job?
