I wanted to wait at least a year or so before I gave an accurate update on my Quorri engagement ring (set with their DymondIX), as I am sure some of you are wondering if it held up to their claim. Well, I am very pleased to let you know that the ring is as stunning and beautiful as the day I placed it on my fiances finger. She cleans it when its dirty and is simply careful with it (as you would be with any expensive ring). I have also recommended a few colleagues at work and some family members who couldn’t get over how nice our pieces were. It’s been just over 6 months and they all seem to be very pleased with their purchases. With anything, if you take care of the things you love, then they should last a very long time. Case and point, where my finace goes and cuts her hair, the girl at the reception was complaining that her ring had a chip in it. My fiance thought she was referring to some sort of alternative ring, but NO it was a genuine marquise diamond that she accidently wacked on the granite counter. She showed her the ring and told me that the band looked like a golf ball with all the dents/dings in it. This woman was definitely careless and the damage on her ring was the result.
I truly think that some people either wear their rings without care and keep accidently banging their rings and then blame the company that made them, that they are faulty. It doesn’t matter what you buy, if you don’t take care of it, your going to damage it one way or another. That being said, you should read the negative Quorri review (mainly from one person on this site – name not necessary) with a grain of salt as I am certain the stone on the ring surely did not damage on its own (physically impossible).
These days you get what you pay for so don’t complain when your $259 Quorri stone doesn’t take the same abuse as a $12,000 equivalent diamond.
I have ordered by engagement rings and will be posting them as soon as they arrive. Very very excited.
Yes!, the wedding date has finally been set…… 🙂
By The Way, From what I have heard, Quorri took over Sitaragem and got rid of their old stones and rings. Quorri now only uses their DymondIX or new Lab Diamonds. They also fully hand-make all of their pieces. AND that makes me Very happy!!! 🙂
