Okay soo I’ve been thinking….should I use the whole quote instead? Would that make it sound better. “He is more myself than I am. Whatever ours souls are made of, mine and his are the same.” Or leave it as is?

You should leave it as it is. Lovely quote. Honestly if you put, “He is more myself than I am,” it puts too much emphasis on your fiance, and the wedding is about both of you. Your quote was a lot better than her suggestions, and it’s a really sweet homage to your mom. It’s your wedding, and if she’s giving you grief over the quote, just tell her you want to stick with it because your mom loved the book.
