We’re planning to do a first look around Boston before our ceremony and to knock out the formal pics with the our bridal parties and family. We’re aiming for the Boston Gardens/Beacon Hill and/or the Waterfront area. However, I’d hate to rent a trolley to faciliate that and not be able to take pictures if it rains and have the money go to waste.
I wanted to sort of draw up a back up plan before I book transportation for peace of mind. Any rainy day brides have good suggestions for a back up plan?
The Boston Public Library or Isabelle Stuart Gardner Museum are beautiful spots, but I’m aware that they don’t allow photography (unless you’ve booked the BPL for your wedding venue). So fielding other ideas!

where is the wedding? I took my photos at the cleveland circle reservoir and we just cut them short when it started to rain on us lol. The venue should have an indoor option I’d hope.

The wedding itself is in the financial distict area and unfortunately we can’t get into the venue much before our reception. We want a first look to really enjoy our cocktail hour withour guests and be able to talk to as many people as possible. I’d also love some variety in the photos, hopefully some indoor greenery as an option. Trying to scope out some pretty lobbies, etc. Places that are a sure thing. For instance, the Liberty Hotel is nice, but they have exclusive rights for photos for those holding their wedding there, so not worth the gamble.
