@ycare:  I’m getting married in CP as well and like the OP it hasn’t rained o. My day in 10 years. it would hrond my gears if  it rained. Even though our getting ready space can double as a rain venue and if need be we could just do everything at the reception venue. But, now that you mention Grand Cebtal, which is probably my 2nd fav place in NYC (after CP), would you know how one would manage to get married there.

How large was your guest list

@SnowBunny420:  Portland weather is finicky this time of year. It will probably change by Saturday. Have faith that you will have rainbows and sunshine on your wedding day!

@SnowBunny420:  I’m in the Portland area too, and yep it’s finally getting to be that rainy time of the year again! You know how unpredictable it is up here though hon.

We got married in Lincoln City in May and I drove myself NUTS with the 10 day forecast. It said it was going to be rainy and nasty all weekend, and you know how the Coast is. I was a nervous wreck. Two days before the wedding though, it changed and it turned out to be a record setting temp weekend and GORGEOUS!

The fact is, we live in a state that’s rainy, that’s why it’s so pretty here! Rain or shine, your wedding WILL be gorgeous! I agree with PP that you should prepare for the rain, and then when it’s sunny (and I have a feeling it will be!) you’ll be able to rest easy!

@SnowBunny420:  LOL. For the love of God. Noone is a monster for telling you to chill the F out over rain. It happens. So is life. Go buy some cute wellies and cute umbrellas. It if happens you’ll be prepared and will make the most out of it.

@SnowBunny420:  No one is being mean. Its called honesty. Tough love. Etc. The day will be beautiful, perfect, and amazing rain or not. So just prepare yourself and don’t stress about it.

@SnowBunny420:  I never said I was perfect- I most definitely am not.  Look, I used to say things like “it’s going to give me a panic attack!”- about things that would just be bothering me or annoying me- and then I had one.  And it sent me to the ER because I had no idea what was happening.  After that, I no longer say that- because I know how truly scary a genuine panic attack is.

There is difference between a “panic attack” and an “anxiety attack” or suffering from anxiety/stress/being upset about something.

I wasn’t seriously offended, just don’t appreciate when people throw that out there for simple things.

That’s very mature of you to wish rain on my wedding day, really it is.  But it won’t bother me.

I would never wish for you to have rain on your wedding day- but you can’t freak out about it beause you can’t control it.

Best wishes.
