It rained on my friend’s wedding day in November. The venue was able to move the outdoor ceremony inside on the dance floor, then clear it away before dinner. Would you be able to do something like that?

**Crossing fingers for you!!**  I’ll bet your venue has some sort of back-up plan like a tent option.  Most places who are experienced will have you covered!

Rain/overcast is supposed to be the best for pictures because you have even lighting, unlike sunshine.

Im having the same issue!!!! I’m getting married next Friday in St. Thomas and what do you know? It says 60% chance of rain!!!! 🙁 I hope not though!!! My venue has an indoor option if that is the case! I hope to have sunshine and blue skies too! Wish me luck!

On a positive note, have you ever seen wedding pictures when it rains?  With a good photographer, they can turn out just stunning!

Wishing you blue skies and sunshine, too!

Our main back up plan for rain is to wait it out but I live in an area where rainstorms are generally shortlived… We can also have the ceremony at the reception site inside instead but I really don’t want to do that.

I have also heard that rainy days make for better lighting for pictures.

I have all 10 fingers and even my toes crossed for a rainy wedding day! We’re indoors, I love the rain and it photographs beautifully… Plus I could use a little luck.
