I’d do gray for the men’s tuxedos, instead of black.  Black is a stark shade and gray will soften the bright palate of the rainbow instead of adding to the shock value of it all.

I was thinking about doing the same thing.  I loved the colours.  I do think that it can be overdone though.  I actually prefer it for smaller wedding parties, as opposed to really big ones.  But I can see how it could work either way.

I ended up decining not to do it because my mom and a bridesmaid didn’t like the idea for different reasons.  My mom said that she though it made it hard to recognize the bridal party (unless they all have identical dresses) and my bridesmaid said she worried that they’d be staring at her instead of at me (she’s like that).

But I think it’s a great idea and wish I could’ve made it work.

@OrchidLove: You can order those rainbow flowers from fiftyflowers.com.  They are expensive (as roses go), but might be cool for a bouquet or accent pieces.

@BackyardLoveBird: If you are talking about the bouquet those look like ribbon roses. It would probably be easier and cheaper to buy rainbow fabric and make the roses.  Especially if you can buy the fabric when it goes on sale around halloween or prom season.

I think the rainbow colors would look great! Even a few of the blogger Bees did it. Mrs. Pretzel and Miss Canon are the two that come to mind. I say go for it!
