This is the only time I am going to even mention this 🙂
I did not want to jinx the possibility of rain on Saturday so I did not look at any extended forecasts. Even on Monday I didn’t want to check it, but FI checked and told me sunny skies and in the 80s, woo hoo!
Tuesday I felt was pretty safe to check the forecast and it was still the same-yes!
Today I check the weather and Saturday is now rain all day 🙁
What the heck 🙁 🙁
It’s been raining all week, is supposed to rain today, tomorrow, Friday, Saturday. Ugh!
Obviously you have to consider it a possibility when planning an outdoor wedding but I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me a bit sad this morning (but hey if it changed between yesterday and today, maybe it will change between today and tomorrow?!)
Oh well, time to rev up the Amazon Prime with the purchase of a cute umbrella

Maybe the forecast will change… last weekend there was a 0% chance of rain but it rained all day. Maybe it’ll be opposite this weekend for your wedding! 🙂
Either way, I’m sure it’ll be a beautiful wedding. It downpoured on my future sister in laws wedding last year but it made for the most adorable pictures!
Good luck! Don’t stress about it too much… unfortunately, weather is just one of those things out of a Bride’s control. 🙂

Do you have a plan B ready to go since rain is in the forecast?

@jungeunie: Yep definitely not stressing about it (but what umbrella to pick?!) Decisions, decisions 😉
The venue moves the ceremony indoors if it rains, and unfortunately they make the call on Friday so it could be blue skies on Saturday but if it was forecasted for rain, they decide Friday 🙁
I don’t love the indoor backup, it’s basically in the reception room but it is what it is, and obviously we knew that when we booked it!
Either way it will be a great day but I am definitely hoping sunshine makes its way back into the forecast!!

Fingers crossed the sun comes out to play, there is still plenty of time for the forecast to change, but best get a pretty umbrella to be on the safe side.

Fingers crossed for you here too! I was watching my forecast like a fiend–morning of, I got up at 6am, drove down to the park, sat in the pavilion facing the river and prayed to my Gram that she would keep the rain away. It was a really nice peaceful moment, and despite 80% chance of rain, it worked! 🙂

@MrsLongcoatPeacoat: Aw what a lovely experience, so happy it turned out well for you!

I’m obsessed with the weather forecasts for my wedding, too. I have a plan B for everything except pictures, which my fiance asked me about today. I don’t know what I’ll do!
My day is still over a week out, so a lot can change. A lot can change in a couple of days, too.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. Hoping you get beautiful weather for your beautiful day!

@mgol25: Ha us too! If it rains, the ceremony moves indoors, ok no big deal. But I have NO clue where pictures would be taken…it’s a golf course!!
And if it moves indoors, the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception are all in the same space (so we can’t hide away to another section).
I guess we’ll just see what the day brings-thanks for the positive thoughts!
