We have wedding pics up in our living room, but not “prominently”–they’re small prints, mixed in with other family pictures (we did a family photo gallery wall).

I like art.  Hanging huge photos of people reminds me of my sister-in-law’s parents’ house.  It feels old fashioned.

I love my art in my living room…it’s a special piece to me and I don’t need anything to compete with it.  🙂

I didn’t think I’d be in the minority, but we have some photos displayed in our “public” areas.  My sister got us a photo to canvas certificate, so I Have 2 of those displayed (11 x17) and also havea  5×7 photo that’s incorporated in a gift I got from a friend (like this: http://www.etsy.com/listing/62763114/16×16-personalized-picture-frame-wedding)– the piece has our name, wedding date and a quote from our first dance song and I put a picture of us dancing in it.  We have a pretty small apartment anyway, but I like having photos around to remind us of our wedding and what a great time we had!

I never really thought I’d have photos displayed either. . . yet I do.

We have our ketubah and chuppah on the wall (we had some of our closests friends and family design the squares and used the borders as a general guestbook) and there was a space.. . I didn’t know what else to put there and a wedding picture seemed to fit the theme.

Many of the people who visit us spend time looking at the squares and reading the ketubah, so I guess it works. . . .It’s weird though.

We plan on haning a photo of us in the living room, but it won’t be HUGE. I don’t think the photo will stay permanantly in the living room though. We’d like to have a house that has a formal sitting room someday to use as a reading and music space. The photo will probably go there in the long run. I don’t like having pictures of people in the bedroom. Even having photos of us in the bedroom would make me self concious!

we have ours in a glass frame above my jacuzzi tub in our master bathroom…Loooove it!

And it’s black and white so it looks very chic. Honestly: I hate having pix in my house or even on my fridge so thats why we did that.

I’m sure when we have kids it’ll be a lot different tho!

We have wedding pictures up, but not huge ones. Just a few 5x7s. We will, however, be getting a big family picture to hang over the mantle of my hubs, me, our new baby girl, and our furbaby!

I sorta wish we weren’t displaying it in a public place. FH is quite insistant that we hanging a HUGE portrait of yours truly (and just yours truly) over our future mantel. LOL guess he is really just a southern boy at heart. (Seems to be real popular down there.)

I’m definitely having our picture somewhere in a public room! I love pictures, so I have pictures of all my friends, family, whoever in the house. That’s why I spent so much on our photographer! But it probably won’t be big. Our guest tree will be the focus of the living room (ok we live in a one bedroom apartment so it’s the center of the whole house I suppose). Our pictures will be scattered around on the desk or bookshelves.

I hang pictures of my family and friends and all that everywhere so why wouldn’t I hang up pictures of my wedding? I mean it isn’t going to be like a 5 foot painting of us hanging on the wall, but there will be pictures up. Why did I pay so much for pictures if I wasn’t going to put them out for people to see.

We don’t have any in our apartment now but once we move and get a house I’m sure we’ll display some in the living area.

But they won’t be huge and prominent.  More like smaller frames on shelves/side tables/etc.

In all seriousness I just don’t like them. We have a few small photos around on side tables no one ever looks at… we might add one to that collection but I don’t want to waste more money when our photos will be given to us on a cd so they can be put where everyone actually looks at your photos (online).
