So thanks to the Thank You Manager, we pretty much know who is behind 90% of the registry purchases off our registry. We had one couple that picked out four items from our registry and they appeared to arrive in two boxes (three in one, one in the other). The combination of three were fine but when we opened up the second box, it wasn’t anything from our registry and it didn’t match the entry in the Thank You Manager! In fact, it wasn’t even remotely close to what we were supposed to receive.
Long story short, the warehouse screwed up and shipped us a giant decorative item from the sister store of the company we did order from.
Unfortunately, to get this cleared up, I had to call the customer service number and explain what happened to get my original intended gift and to get UPS to come back and pick up the wrong “gift”. Then we had to reseal up this very large item, which was a pain. Ironically, both items were of the same price. I knew that it wasn’t an off-registry gift as the item didn’t match the packing slip include with the package. The packing slip showed the sku of the item we were supposed to receive.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?
