- Wedding: August 2010
So, every so often (okay, at least 3 times a week) I like to do a search for “wedding” on the craigslist for sale ads in my area. One thing that always cracks me up is when I see postings for wedding dresses that read something like:
“Wedding dress for sale. Only wore once (for my wedding).”
Um – calling that out isn’t necessarily a great selling feature. Something like “Only wore once – to try on when it arrived” is better. Otherwise I’m going to assume that the dress is “used” and that it’s been worn. And how many other times would you have worn that dress, besides the one time? (granted, it could have been preowned prior to this bride, but in my head, I’m imagining her wearing it to clean her house or go shopping, or something likewise hilarious!).
