Power. Max Power.
Power. Max Power.
I know a girl whose last name is Cypher, which I always thought was awesome.
However, if someone I knew changed their last name to Cypher, I would assume that person thinks they are the protagonist of a vampire novel.
I’m not saying you should give a shit what I or anyone else thinks of you, but… choose wisely and don’t pick something that sounds like a burlesque stage name.
In my program in university, there was a kid with the last name Valevicius. It is a pretty fierce last name. From what I remembered, I think they had an Italian background. It’s definitely on my list of cool last names.
Gerard is one of my favorites. Timeless and strong. Also, its pretty close to A so the future kids won’t be last on everything in school. I hated that so much as a kid and mine was only a P. Just something to think about 🙂
best of luck!
I’ve always loved the last names Deveraux and Shepard.
Hello posters! Thanks for all the replys and suggestions (Max Power! Lol, have that song stuck in my head now) we have tried to do an jumble of our current last names and the best options were Barkley or Rockley… Ehhhh.
So I am still unsure. Husband suggested Kingston, which I like. We will try and live with the idea of the name for a while and see how we feel if we still like it in a few months.
Whatever you choose make sure it’s not difficult to spell, I’m going to go from being a Cook to a Panayi-I can see me being asked “can you spell that” a lot lol
I think it would be cool to see if there are any family names in your ancestory that have since ceased to be passed down and pick one to resurrect. That way you would still have a historical tie to the name. 🙂
ETA, also check out some names that reflect your heritage– for instance, DH (and now my) last name is of Swiss-German heritage and is very unique.
For all the girls changing names, what are the “before” names that are so bad???
We have a friend with the last name Champion, which I think is awesome!
My SO’s last name is Stark. People love it- easy to spell, short, plus tons of popculture references.
Haha I have a friend with the last name Power and we’d always sing that at him. I have another friend with the last name Powers Whitely and on some of her student loan paperwork they screwed up and called her “____________ White Power”. Yikes!
I’m definitely taking FI’s last name but if we combined ours to make a new name it’d be “Bassoyd” which I find very robotic and funny. Beep boop beep.
