OMG I do that all the time! I’m like 2011 brides don’t needto be doing any planning right now…but umm yes they do! It seems far away, but it’s really not. It’s just crazy how fast 2010 is going by, and it’ll be september before we know it!

I wish you were right about the not needing to planning, but mine is 6 mo (exactly!) away – ack!

It seems too close now (given my algorithim of months left/things done/things left to do).

Ours isn’t for 14 months (a/o tomorrow!) so I am still in “meh, don’t need to deal with that yet” mode.  Though we did just send in our venue contract!!  So that’s exciting.  But I think now I’ll proceed to ignore everything else for a couple of months.

i realized earlier today that we are almost under 200 days and will soon be under 7 months…why today? because i had to make another payment to the venue!

We’re just under 8 months now.  I keep thinking everything’s under control, but I feel like it’s the calm before the storm.  I know I’m going to running around like a chicken with no head here in a few months.  Eek!

Done: Florist, dress (picked anyway, not fitted), officiant, site, photographer

In progress: caterer, decor (though that will be continuous until the day before I’m sure)

To do: Baker, invites, DJ, insurance, honeymoon, register, wedding bands, dress fittings, goom’s attire, hotel block, accessories, Bridal party gifts, FINALIZE GUEST LIST OMG

Lol I do it too about my own wedding! I got engaged in october 2009 and set a date of february 2011— SO far away right? NOPE. I’m like less than 8 months out now and I haven’t hardly done anything—- holy crap! haha

What drives me nuts is when vendors treat me like, why are you planning NOW? IDK about the brides who are already living with SO (so the wedding is the only thing on your mind, not the housing) but in my case, I have Not Wedding Related stuff like downsizing my junk for the move, having garage sales/ebay sales, figuring out where I am going to move my mom who currently lives with me, etc. Whatever things I can check off my list now, I appreciate!!!

I can’t believe how quickly everything has gone by.  Yesterday was my 6 month mark!  August my dress comes in, September I want to start projects, October fittings begin and invitations, then holidays and everything else stuck in there.  It’s going to be here before we know it!

I have a countdown on my desk top going- and when I realized we were getting close to the 200 day mark- it kind of hit me that I need to get going on the diy projects I want to do!

I was a bride who kept saying- oh it’s in 2011, I’ve got plenty of time! And it’s sneaking up on me quicker than I realized!

@Goldilocks1107: Ahaha! How did you know I was having Unicorns escort me down the aisle?!

When I called the courthouse to speak with a judge, the clerk said it was waaaay to early to be contacting them and I should call in a few more months – really? I am going to call back and hope to get someone else.
