Reading this may fulfill your weirdness quota for the day 😉
Yesterday my Mom came to visit, I was talking about my current job dilemma (some sh*t going down at current job, interviewing for another job that will be very intense…may be going “out of the frying pan, into the fire” so to speak). I joked:
“let me know if you have any idea what to do with work/what you think I should be when I grow up!”
and she said:
“I think you should take a break and have a couple of kids!” and smiled. She’s been really good about not bugging me about grandkids AT ALL for the last 5 years or so.
But I guess it planted a seed becuase I had the strangest dreams last night…Do you Bees ever have experiences when the “waking” and “dreaming” get confused? Most commonly this happens to me with regard to the alarm. My alarm is going off and maybe I “dream” about hitting snooze, but it’s still going. Or I think my alarm is going off and really I’m dreaming it. I hope that makes sense.
So I dreamed that I was pregnant and that I had a little baby girl. And in my dream, I thought that the birth of my daughter had been a dream, becuase it had been *so easy*! I’d been in labor for, like, an hour or two. And remember being really scared but it not being as bad as I feared. Isn’t it strange when you dream about thinking something is a dream?
Then I woke up when Boyfriend or Best Friend left for work (he gets up earlier than me), went back to sleep, and dreamt that I was getting ready on my wedding day. I’d made cake, an ice cream cake, strange….and I had some sort of avocado-gook in my hair. I was rushing to manage things with my grandma and cousin, who’d gotten ahold of the cake and were eating it. That was somehow OK, becuase there was another cake. Then I took off to have a hair appointment with a guy who looked (and acted) like Tony from “Say Yes to the Dress”.
Haha! Good morning Bees 🙂

Hah, I had a dream the other night that my boyfriend proposed, but he got me this weird diamond encrusted bird ring. I was like wtf, you have to return this now. I told him about it when I woke up and he goes eep, I hope I do better than that.

Hahahaha!! I love it!! I have very strange dreams all the time, so I don’t think it’s weird at all! Definitely entertaining! I do think it’s so weird how dreams take things we are thinking about or things that have recently happened and put them into a story. I think it’s our brain’s way of sorting things out.
Last week I saw a decent-sized spider crawl in front of me on the sidewalk in front of my house. A month ago a HUGE spider–im talking palm of your hand-sized, crept into our office! So a few nights ago, after the sidewalk incident, i had a dream that a spider was crawling on me. Well, in real life I started whimpering and swatting myself, which woke me up. And my boyfriend (so sweet) was half asleep but said, with a concerned voice, “What’s wrong? Are you ok??” i finally came to and told him I was dreaming, but I still laugh at my random spazzing episode!

@quirkyparsnip: That is hilarious! I’m glad he said he wants to do better, that is encouraging. There was another thread on ‘waiting dreams’ awhile back, and it sounded like many Bee’s had the Ugly Engagement Ring dream. Not quite sure what it means but it seems to be quite common.
@yellowlinedpage: LOL! I’ve done that too 🙂 Not the spiders, but the spazzing out physically from a dream incident.
And btw I saw Boyfriend or Best Friend looking at my list of desires/goals on my fridge quite carefully last night and asking questions about it. I put 2 Tacori model #’s on the fridge list (LOL) a few months ago…he was looking at it for awhile while I was cooking. So I’m hoping he was memorizing the model #’s 😉

haha thats hilarious! I often have weird dreams like that!
My mum talks about grand kids CONSTANTLY – she first mentioned that she would like them when I was 18! (Not to have them then, but that she wanted them at some stage) and in the recent years she has stepped up her campaign to have at least one grandkid in the next few years!
