@Galang_Gyal:  ALL BUGS. Particularly cicadas and centipedes. I’m really not a big fan of anything that has lots of legs or sprindlies sticking out – they just give me the creeps for some reason. (Lobsters, lion fish…)

@peachacid:  WE HAD ONE OF THESE THE OTHER DAY AND I WAS SO UPSET. I was home alone, no Fiance to save me and I literally almost vomited/cried trying to catch it before the dog could. UGH

Adding: sprickets (spider crickets, basement-dwelling hopping spider things, my WORST NIGHTMARE.)

@peachacid:  I’m trying really hard not to look at that!  My cat tried to eat one the other day!

For me, it’s mostly ticks.  Seriously, the way they squirm as they try to burrow their heads under your skin…. *shiver*

Granted, I also got Lyme Disease a few years ago, so that doesn’t help.

@peachacid:  Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! House centipedes!!!

I grew up in upstate NY, and never saw one until I moved to the Chicago suburbs.

– on a lighter note, those horrors helped me lessen my fear of spiders ๐Ÿ˜‰

@Galang_Gyal:  Earwigs. Those things disturb me. So many legs!!!!

I am generally ok with spiders.. unless they catch me by surprise. We’re looking to move from Canada (hardly any big bugs where I live) to a warmer climate, so I may have to get used to some much bigger creepy crawlies haha.

@TwoStatesBride:  I found one in the laundry basket after I’d dumped the laundry on the bed. So of course I screamed and ran away, calling my fiance’s name.  I was like, “OH MY GOD I NEED YOUR HELP I AM OKAY BUT THERE IS A BUG I CANNOT DO IT AAUGHHHHH HELP HELP.”  Because I reacted as though I had been seriously injured….=/

@Galang_Gyal:  Aww bunnies and guinea pigs, really? I have two bunnies, though they hate me. I’d never get bunnies again but I still think they are cute!

@Jacqui90:  Cane toads are hideous things! Completely understand you.

Ok this is going to sound RIDICULOUS, but maybe some of you will get a laugh about it. For my birthday last year in November (yay scorpio baby) I organised a small group of 8 to go to Dubbo Zoo to do the ‘Roar and Snore’ and then a private tour to feed the tigers. The Roar and Snore is where you get to camp at the zoo for the night, they take you on dusk and dawn tours behind the scenes of the zoo while they’re giving the animals some treats and food. It’s amazing! Anyway, on our dusk tour we stopped at the Giraffes and were given instructions on how to stand about a metre away from their fence and hold the carrot a certain way so we could feed them. I freaked out! I didn’t want to go near these weird, giant creatures, which doesn’t make any sense at all because SO is 6ft4 lol, so it’s not like I’m scared of tall things or anything. My SO and brother kept making fun of me saying things like “you want to go feed tigers tomorrow, but you won’t feed a giraffe, seriously?”, to which I replied “hey, if a tiger wants to eat me that’s cool. At least my body went to a hunger animal. But if one of these things licks me or headbutts me… WTH!?” Completely irrational, I know!

I eventually gave in and gave one of the baby giraffes a carrot cause everyone else in our ‘party’ started making fun of me too Embarassed. The pressure of 7 people making fun of me got to me lol. Thankfully the other 30 odd people on the Roar and Snore didn’t start as well hahaha. But Giraffes still freak me out!!!

I think the more approriate question here, is are there any bugs that don’t creep me out?

I freak over most bugs. Especially spiders, ticks, and those things with a bunch of legs. I just got chills thinking about them.

@Galang_Gyal:  All bugs. ALL the time. I scream like victoria’s secret models after they learn that the burger they had is 85% fat instead of 25%.

edit: stupid joke. it sounded funny in my head. still, the point remains.

I hate hate hate caterpillars!!!! OMG!! The thought of them disgusts me soooo much. I know they turn into beautiful butterflies but the caterpillar part is so gross and their white web nests in trees scare the crap out of me!!!

@qwerty2k1:  If there were, I never saw them!  I’m really hyper-aware of insects, too ๐Ÿ™‚

Yay for upstate NY!  I think you’ll love it! It’s one of my favorite places in the world ๐Ÿ™‚

I hate ticks, but I was faced with so many ticks last summer between the dog & the mild winter the year before.

@peachacid:  eWWWWW!   I have never seen that bug before.  Thank goodness!
