On Thursday, June 28th, I was told our invitations would be ready in 5-7 business days. Accounting for the holiday, that means they should have been ready Friday, July 5th, Monday, July 8th, or Tuesday, July 9th. Last week, on Thursday, I checked in, and was told middle of this week. Today is business day 8, and I set up a meeting nearby the printer so I could do both things today. I call to ask what’s up and am told hopefully tomorrow, but maybe Friday. So now, 10 to 11 business days. I am NOT a happy customer. Also, this has spontaneously made me mad at everyone else who has made me angry throughout the entire wedding planning process. So… that’s actually kind of amusing.

@Duncan: I hate when vendors give you innacurate timeframes, if they had have said 10 business days from the start it would have been fine, it’s just the stuff around!
I love that you’re so involved in the planning process, all my FI cares about is the cake haha.
I saw your wedding is August 31st, do you have to do anything to them before you send them out or will you be able to get them straight in the mail?

@Missy_Star: envelopes and ceremony invitatoins are ready to go; they’ll be in the mail friday at the latest, unless he screws it up again.

@Duncan: 10-11 business days requires a small credit back and you should request it. 10% should be good.

@Duncan: God, I’d be so happy if my groom cared as much about the little things like you do.
But on that note, I hope you really do get them by Friday at the latest.

@Duncan: So freaking annoying. He SHOULD offer a credit back or something. I mean, these days all you have to do is Yelp your experience and he could see a serious drop in business!
And I totally feel you on getting mad at everyone else. We’re living in a half-packed apartment even though we still don’t have anywhere to move into! Just today this has made me mad at 5 crazy drivers, a waitress who didn’t notice the first 2 times I asked for the check, the ramen man who put too much oil in my dish and one little tiny adorable child who missed the trash can and just left the trash on the floor. Seriously, the kid was MAYBE 3. Sigh.

@Duncan: fingers and toes crossed for you, and if there are anymore delays i’d be going postal on their asses, it’s amazing what you can achieve by losing your shit after you’ve been patient and polite about their delays the whole way along.
