@VintageMartini:  I have a diamond e-ring, and I think all the e-rings on the Bee are beautiful, regardless of the type of stone or metal.  I love seeing them for what they symbolize and also the various designs and types.

Last weekend my Fiance and I were out at a restaurant and the waitress had on a beautiful sapphire and diamond bridal set.  We raved over each other’s rings, lol.  Even though I have diamonds, I sometimes wish I could have two or three other e-rings and switch them out, so I could also try the moissy or other beautiful gemstones.  They’re all gorgeous!

I agree with you that nobody should be snobby when it comes to such a beautiful symbol of love as an engagement ring.

I love all sorts of rings.  Smile  I’m more miffed about the size of the gemstone (or diamond) on the ring.  Does it really have to be as big as the celebrities out there?

Did something happen? Seriously. I haven’t noticed anything that would resemble any snotty attitude. Frown

From what I’ve seen the bee is very accepting and admires all types of rings.

Did someone make a rude comment to you?

I think you may be letting some insecurities get the best of you.  I’ve never seen anyone say anything remotely rude about non-diamond e-rings.

Sorry you’ve had a bad experience, i have had some people in real life question my choice of a sapphire Engagement Ring but never here on the boards of WB. I think everyone chooses something thats a reflection of themselves, thats what makes all the rings so unique and special, and i am possitive yours is lovely. <3

Hi, and welcome to the Bee!

I noticed you’re relatively new and wanted to see what made you post this comment?  We’re a pretty friendly and accepting bunch here, with all walks of life and all kinds of engagement rings.  Your post is kind of aggressive and in my opinion, completely unwarranted.

I’ve seen some ppl write that they’d ONLY wear a diamond, but I’ve also seen ppl write that they’d NEVER wear a diamond. So ive seen it go both ways. I was just telling another bee yesterday I wish I could have multiple e rings because I see so many beautiful ones on the bee. If I could I’d love to have a moissanite ring and a sapphire ring in addition to my diamond e ring. They are all unique and beautiful in their own way.

@VintageMartini:  If most are the bees are supportive, then what is the point of this post other than to rile people up?

Ignore the unsupportive ones, flag the ones who are outrightly snarky or attacking, and move on.

Everyone has different tastes, and just because someone says they would only want a diamond e-ring, doesn’t meant they think less of someone else’s moissy or gemstone ring, it just means that a diamond is their personal preference.

@VintageMartini:  Well, not everyone’s response is going to be 100% kosher 100% of the time.  Some people are quietly disparaging about non-diamonds and some are disparaging towards those who choose to have diamonds. Nay-sayers come on both sides of the tracks and they’re usually corrected by other members in due time. You can’t let yourself be affected by occassional negativity. I’ve read whole posts about people who practically think people who buy diamonds are straight up idiotic. But they’re the exception and I move on. Ignore haters. 🙂

@october22:  Multiple e-rings, yay!  That’s a great idea.  Now to talk Fiance into it, lol.
