I’m in a silimar situation! I am a small girl too, and dislike flashy things. I got a ring very similar to yours, minus the heart accents. Were ring twins! 😉 Almost!

Since I’m small, too, I never liked the bigger rings and it would overpower me.

True, I get a little jealous when I see a rock bigger than my head on some girls finger, but I know for a fact it wouldn’t suit me!

At first I DID think my ring was a bit too small, but now I’ve come to love it. Who can easily keep her hands in her pockets? THIS girl!! 😉

Don’t sweat it, though. Like others have said, the guy is a d-bag. Who knows, maybe the other girl had nothing to do with it?

I feel your pain!!

I really don’t understand the mentality that if a guy doesn’t spend stupid amounts of money on a ring that you/he are somehow lesser people, or that he desn’t love you as much… It literally doesn’t matter how much money you have, or how much you could have spent on a ring!!!!! I faced the same thing with mine – we went shopping for it together, and the one ring I absolutely loved that didn’t cost a fortune (to us at least) wasn’t even a diamond! It’s an aquamarine with tiny diamond accents. Fiance loves it because it isn’t ‘boring and usual’, and I love it because it’s so damn pretty! Best bit? It cost us a whopping $170, including resizing. Some people give me funny looks over it, I even had people tell me to just say it’s a coloured diamond (because then I look super rich and important or something…). I just don’t get it. I love it, what else matters?

I also have a moissanite pendant that people have told me I should pretend is a ‘real diamond’… I’m like no… it’s a real moissanite and I like it that way. If I had wanted a ‘real diamond’, I would have got one…….

Honestly, if you love your ring, wtf does it matter what it looks like/how big it is/how much it costs??? Even if you are super rich, does that somehow make you a much better person than someone who isn’t??

*sigh* end of my own rant haha

@Ibblet:  I haven’t read the rest of the thread.. but your ring is larger than mine. 🙂 It’s gorgeous! (I’m also a 3-stone engagement ring bee; 0.53 ctw)

Ask her if she’d like to compare your marriages later and then say “Oh wait, that’s sort of mean because you’re pretty bitchy so it won’t last long at all…”

Some people… I think your ring is gorgeous.

Ugh. Terrible. He must not be engaged/married — wonder what ring he would get!

Your ring is beautiful. Don’t let that moron make you feel any other way!
