Is anyone else just overwhelmed??
I’ve literally been sick to my stomach this week. I even took a pregnancy test because I thought something was up. Nope, not preggers (thank goodness!). I’m in graduate school – plan to graduate in March with a Masters in Respiratory Care Leadership. I also work night shift as a pediatric respiratory therapist in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. I’m planning a destination wedding (Florida, June 21,2013) AND planning a *surprise* anniversary party for my parents 40th on Aug 19th (for over 100 people!).
Wowzah. No wonder I haven’t been feeling well. Hoping its just nerves & not sickness. I don’t have time for sick..
Rant end 🙂

Yikes. Yeah, I’ve been there! It must be stressful being in school and planning a wedding. That’s why we’ve decided to wait to get married til after I’m done w/my masters. Plus planning an anniversary party?! geez. Hope you have some help!

Totally normal feeling! I’m in my fourth year of PhD, about to defend my dissertation proposal (therefore, re-writing and preparing a presentation), working on a paper with my supervisor, and preparing to teach a class for the first time ever this fall – plus planning a semi-destination wedding and general taking care of our daughter. It’s tons of fun, hmm?
Make sure you take some time out for yourself, even if it’s just going for a walk or having a coffee or reading a non-school book for a little while. I often get really sick during the high stress times and it does wonders to just decide that for the next hour or night or whatever that school is off the table. Hope you feel better soon!

Aww 🙁 I don’t really have any advice because I’m not in grad school yet–I’m getting married right before grad school to avoid all the stress, but I definitely feel for you! I agree with PP about taking some time for yourself, drinking some tea or coffee, getting a good amount of sleep, finding time to just breathe and remember everything will work out! And that we’re here for you!
