I love that setting!  I think a round brilliant would look best in that setting because it’s a sleek and modern bezel.  I saw a picture somewhere of an OEC in a modern dainty bezel setting, and while it was pretty, I don’t think it “worked” quite as well as the round brilliant did (and I’m an OEC lover).  I think OECs look better in more antique looking bezel settings, like some of the Jewels by Erica Grace bezel settings.  For 1 carat you could go either way on the enhancement, if you have any doubts just go for the Forever Brilliant.

@ms_snugs:  I have to say FB Ring Bearer moissy was not the contender for the center stone for me. It was between yellow canary Ring Bearer moissanite (because of one dream that I had, in which my Fiance gave me beautiful yellow gold bezel ring with yellow stone) and FB OEC. The main reason why I chose FB OEC over canary Ring Bearer is because I got scared that I will get tired of yellow stone faster than of colourless one. Also, I already had Ring Bearer cut moissy and I wanted something different.

I am not fan of big culets and I noticed that at the time of my purchase all OECs in MoissaniteCo.com inventory had small culets so I did not specify in my order that I wanted stone with small culet. I did ask to hand pick (colour-wise) my stone though. I was completely ignorant to fact that they can be cut badly. I guess I got lucky. My stone has no dark areas in the middle unlike my Ring Bearer (bicycle wheel effect that it has in certain lighting conditions). Culet is not striking or off-puting at all, just a small dot.

When I received my ring I instantly fell in love with OEC cut. It just has more character. Faceting also reminds me of kaleidoscope (I loved my kaleidoscope toy when I was a child) and of kusudamas (making those is one of my hobbies).

I would personally go with a FB OEC hand picked by Beth at Schubachs, as I’m pretty sure they can source that setting too. That way you can get the best of both worlds! A gorgeous flowery-faceted gem and a bezel setting! (I love bezel settings)
