If you want to redo the ceremony on saturday, why not just get married on saturday?

Otherwise I would call it a “vow renewal” instead of a ceremony redo. Maybe just reread your vows for the guests? Idk it seems a little weird to me, but I think its doable if this is something you’re really interested in.

I think that you don’t have to do the “redo” on Saturday if you don’t want to. Your wedding is on Thursday and not Saturday, so I’m assuming that the guests know this information so if you did do the “redo” they may be confused and asking when you actually got married! lol.

I agree its a bit odd. I know some people won’t be able to make it to your Thursday wedding… but that happens to some people at everybody’s wedding, regardless of what day it’s on. Sometimes, if you miss it, you just miss it. You can always tell them how it was, or show them pictures later. But re-doing it at the reception is a little strange to me. Sweet in concept, but it would be tricky to pull off without being redundant and confusing.
