Hello All in Question,
If you go with dyed shoes, the best idea is to have them waterproofed. A scotch guard is recommended for fabric shoes. This will reduce the chances of them running or getting water stained. I have 20+ years of experience in this field. Although, once waterproofed, there is no redying them to a darker color such as black, brown or navy because the dye will not take to it.
I DO NOT suggest RIT dye! That is for clothing and not for a satin or crepe shoes.
