I am starting to plan our ceremony and am wondering if there is a list of recommended readings or something? The priest at the pre-marriage course said that anything from the Bible can be used, but I am still a bit lost. I did hear one reading at mass that I liked, but otherwise I don’t know what to do.
How are the readings supposed to be picked out?
Anyone got any readings they can recommend?

We recently met with the Preist of our Parish and were given a book called Together for Life. It allows us to chose our entrance procession, opening prayer, the reading from the Old Testament, Responsorial Psalm, New Testament Reading, Alleluia verse, Gospel, Exchange of Consent etc. I did some reseach and I think you may be able to purchase the updated one from Barnes and Noble. I was given an older book but I’m looking to get the updated one. Hope this helps.

You can also find the info at TogetherForLifeOnline.com. You can choose pretty much anything, but TFL has some recommended, especially wedding-appropriate selections and it’s a great starting point if you don’t already have a favorite you want to use.
